Owner & Lead dentist
Dr. David Blount DMD
Dr. David Blount is the owner and lead dentist here at Blount Dental Group. Born in Waco, Texas, David moved around with his father’s job for a few years before settling in Louisville. After high school, David attended college at both the University of Kentucky and Louisville, where he studied biology and first became interested in dentistry. After graduation from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1984, David joined Dr. James “Jim” Kelly in practice. Dr. Blount has been practicing dentistry here in Lyndon for 35 years and has developed a deep passion for providing quality dentistry and building relationships with his patients. When not in the office, you can find David on the golf course or singing in both his church choir and the Louisville Chorus. David has been married to his wife Cindy for 42 years. They enjoy spending their free time entertaining their two-year-old granddaughter.

Dr. Eric Veal DMD
Dr. Eric Veal has been with our office since 1999. He is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry Class of '95. Born and raised in Louisville, he married Denise Paquette in 1996. They have four children; Nicolas, Noelle, Mebrate, and Nate. Dr. Veal has a passion for volunteering at his church in the men's ministry as well as middle school ministry. He believes it is important to use the gift of dentistry to show God's love to the world. He has traveled on eleven mission trips and desires to continue to serve others on many more. After twenty-four years of practice, Dr. Veal remains passionate about providing quality dental care and is grateful for the many wonderful patients that he has had the opportunity to treat.

Dr. Tyler Blount DMD
Dr. Tyler Blount is an Associate Dentist at Blount Dental Group. After being born and raised in Louisville, Tyler attended college at the University of Kentucky. There he studied biology, and first became interested in practicing dentistry. After college, Tyler completed his doctoral studies in dentistry at the University of Louisville. Tyler has been involved with the Christian Medical & Dental Association since his first year of dental school. From bible studies to mission trips to Honduras and Ecuador, CMDA has given Tyler the opportunity to serve others in many ways through dentistry. Tyler also completed a post-doctoral residency in Hospital Dentistry at University of Louisville Hospital. During this residency, Tyler treated a wide variety of patients and was exposed to many surgical techniques. When he is not at Blount Dental Group, you can find Tyler teaching at University of Louisville Dental School as a part-time lecturer. Tyler has been married to his wife Taylor for 4 years and they are both passionate about their involvement in the local church. Tyler spends most of his free time golfing, fishing, or hanging with his Golden Retriever rescue from Istanbul,Turkey.
